MWAHAHAH!

So, I got my hands on a copy of Maya, Sketchbook Pro AND Mudbox, although I have to wait to get a serial number for registration for the Mudbox. ((Yes yes, all LEGALLY obtained! It's good to be an art major!)) I am super stoked since the Maya and the Mudbox had been recommended to me to get. Now I just have to learn how to properly use these programs. I opened them up and they seem somewhat straight forward, although still strange to me since I am so used to 3ds for the time being.

If ya know of an awesome tutorial to learn from, please give! =D

Oh yea, and added Storyboards to the links above. Of all things I do, my style seems to fit that department more than anything. =)

Major Page Overhaul!

So, as you may have noticed, the page has had a major face lift! I figured I need a digital portfolio and what better place than here ((for the time being that is!)). It's time to get more serious art wise and get my name out there! So, this blog will officially show case myself as an artist all around from sewing to drawing to doing Digital Work. It's kind of funny though, when I went to set this thing up fully today, I realized that there isn't a whole heck of a lot of work that I am proud to try and put up here other than my Digital Work, comic stuff, or photography. I need to crack down and do some MAJOR drawing, especially character designs if I want to get better. -le sigh-

Ah well, I hope you enjoy the changes and I look forward to uploading more stuff!

Latest Shinanigans

Sorry for the lack of an update! I kind of just "forgot" about this. I know, I know, I'm terrible. =P

So, I've honestly just been going through a lot of my 3D classes at the moment which means I'm usually not 100% happy with any of my work and not really proud enough to post much. After that Dramatic Egg assignment, things just felt like they went waaaay downhill. It wasn't that I wasn't getting the program, but I just wasn't well.... "getting" the program. I had/have a severely hard time with humanoids I've discovered. Haha. However, I seem to be pretty decent at backgrounds and texturing, so MAYBE there is some hope? Here are a few samples of the work I WAS proud of. =) Enjoy!

"Stitched Up Zombie": Textured By Me, Head provided by Professor ((texturing Class))

Selendra: Modeled and Textured by Me. I didn't come up with her written description, but I was assigned to model her from one of my fellow classmates. Kind of sad about this project because the person assigned to my character never made her. =( Oh yea, and she had a mechanical arm, which wasn't finished at this stage, hence the weird looking hand.

Here was a test Sample of my "Flaming Water" for one of my animations. It was a Greek Themed "Temple" of sorts. I was extremely proud of this but learned a hard lesson as to what happens to your rendering times when you have so much fire in it and in large quantities. Holy cow, 86 hours to render a 10 second shot out of 5. ;-;

And that's it for now. I have a few more things that I could pull together and post, but I feel like I've flooded this post enough. =) As per usual, all comments are welcomed and all critique definitely favored! How else will I improve?
