Finally finished the first milestone! The first major tree is modeled and I'm not even sure if I WANT to model another one right now. I could use the practice though, so I probably will. I still need to design on the desks, lab tables, crates and what not for the INSIDE. Those should be easier though since I've played around with that before.
Now, if anyone has some better texture refs for making the tree branches, I am all ears because that was one of the hardest parts to be honest.
Thank you in advance!

More WIP
Okay, so I spent a few more hours playing around and I finally figured out the tall grass! FINALLY it doesn't look like a bunch of barfed up colors put on an opacity map! Also played around with making a tree. This is not a final tree, just more playing around with the theory of making my own. However, finding good textures of branches is being a pain!
Anyways, here is some screen shots of my latest work. =)

Game Concept Art
Just two before and after WIP concept arts for my latest class. I still have a long way to go with my art work, but I think I can manage! Now on to the modeling of these monsters. @_@

Paiiiinting Painting all the live long day!
So, after much research into the field and some interesting classes of late, I've decided I want to get into the environment side of game design. I'm not very good at people ((though I will continue to practice and learn/grow!)) but I feel like I can really find myself. The only part of environment I do NOT want to get into is animation ((hate it, majorly!))
So anyways, I've been researching and practicing more with speed techniques in photoshop painting. I figure, let me re-work my basic knowledge and then I can go in and really mess with the fine details. Tonight I did two practice pieces that overall I am pleased with. All feed back is welcomed!
